Our programme started with Smart Power India where we work directly with our energy service company (ESCO) partners to pilot, finance, and scale-up the use of energy efficient appliances. Focus for energy efficient devices has primarily been for households. We have just launched Smart Power Myanmar which will have a significant focus on demand generation and energy efficient appliance uptake. We are also supporting Factor [e] to analyze the potential for innovations (technical and business model) in energy efficient appliances for productive use, such as mills, pumps, etc. with a focus on Africa and India.
