The TIME programme will utilise grants and repayable grants to support enterprises that are creating innovation within the Access to Energy sector and who are working to expand into new, under-served markets in sub-Saharan Africa. The partnership focuses on three key areas: household energy, energy for business, and off-grid utilities. Energy efficiency (including energy efficient appliances) is a cross-cutting theme – important to each pillar. So far, energy efficiency work has centered primarily on refrigeration (including household solutions as well as cold chain) and energy efficient storage.
